The next "Illustrating Nature" Annual exhibit of student works will be held May 3- June 12, 2008
The Science Illustration annual exhibit at the Museum of Natural History at 1305 East Cliff Drive, open Tuesday - Sunday 10:00am to 5:00pm, 831-420-6115. Watch the illustration website for details.

Demonstration of Illustration Techniques
You'll have the opportunity to meet some of the artists and learn some of the trade secrets at a "how-to" demonstration on May 10, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Museum of Natural History.


Summer Session at UC Santa Cruz

During the summer a select number of lower and upper division science illustration classes are still offered for full UCSC academic credit to interested individuals and all levels of experience. Courses that may be offered in the future include: Field Sketching in Color, Color Illustration, Introduction to Science Illustration, Botanical Illustration and Marine Science Illustration. Check the Summer Session online catalog for the current offerings and registration details.

Courses offered in Summer 2008:

SCIC106A Introduction to Natural Science Illustration (A. Caudle)
SCIC126 Marine Science Illustration (A. Bachar)

Both courses will be offered during Session I: June 23 - July 25, 2008. Classes are held in the science illustration studio #101 at the University Center building, 1101 Pacific Ave., Santa Cruz.
